Google has been having some problems as of their last update. They
have indexing the wrong urls for sites and giving many new penalties.
Most of the latest changes have been related to duplicate content.
This is an industry wide problem and we expect Google to resolve some of
their current problems within the next few months.
Google does seem to be ahead of its competitors when it comes to their local
search abilities.
MSN is a major player now with excellent search results. Recently MSN
released its new search engine technology. It is wonderful and the
results are similar and better than Google's results were three months ago.
Yahoo still seems a little behind MSN and Google in quality of results.
Also if you want any chance at all with Yahoo you need to pay them to be
included in the index. This really seems unfair especially to
webmasters that paid Yahoo for lifetime listings back in 1998 etc.
Yahoo unfairly dropped these lifetime listing and many longtime webmasters
free ripped off. I guess lifetime on the Internet means 4 or 5 years
(LOL).
We hope the search engine competition heats up even more and Internet users
will be the winners with better search results. It would be great if
we had 50+ excellent search engines to choose from.
It does appear that Google, MSN and Yahoo are using ranking algorithms that
are starting to yield more similar results. Try some of the search
